Description
Porcelain is another material which I’m working with. I’ve started with the recycling of old porcelain figures and I explored the process of deconstruction and re-interpretation. I’ve created a series of objects called „home aesthetics“ based on my parent’s collection of porcelain sculptures of animals. These sculptures are coming from the ’80s and their aesthetics are like a symbol for living rooms of post-socialist countries.
The project aims to rip cheesy decorations out of their aesthetic context and to attach them to the contemporary art language.The project dealt with kitsch, memories and reinterpretations.
